2025 in review: Most successful projects

Visionect, 7 Jan 2026

Across education, healthcare, and office environments, organizations looked for ways to share information more clearly without increasing energy use or operational complexity.

Throughout the year, Visionect worked with teams who wanted communication systems that were efficient, easy to manage, and built for the long term. E-paper digital signage continued to stand out as a practical solution, helping buildings reduce energy consumption while keeping information visible and up to date.

Modernizing campus communication at BOKU University

BOKU University in Vienna treats sustainability as a core principle of campus operations. When the university needed a digital signage solution for lecture halls, meeting rooms, and hallways, traditional screens didn’t align with their energy goals.

Visionect’s Place & Play e-paper displays provided a low-power alternative that fit naturally into the campus environment. The displays now show up-to-date lecture schedules and room information, helping students and faculty navigate the campus more easily while keeping energy consumption low.

By switching to e-paper, BOKU reduced electricity consumption, simplified day-to-day maintenance, and deployed a digital signage system designed with sustainable building operations in mind.

Energy-efficient office signage for Elevance Health

Clear office communication shouldn’t come with a high energy bill. Elevance Health adopted Visionect’s energy-efficient digital signage to share information across its facilities, with e-paper displays that stay visible all day and use power only when content changes. The result is reliable communication with far less energy use than traditional displays.

Sustainable digital signage at Ecologic AG

EcoLogic was looking for a digital signage solution that aligned with its sustainability goals and office environment. Printed notices and high-energy displays no longer fit their approach.

Visionect’s e-paper displays offered a sustainable, easy-to-manage alternative. The solution improved how information is shared across the office while supporting responsible energy use and a clean, modern workspace.

Simplifying communication at CCIS

Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia (CCIS) faced challenges with fragmented systems and complex workflows for managing digital displays. Multiple teams needed access to updates, but existing tools made content distribution slow and inconsistent.

By switching to Place & Play CMS, the organization streamlined digital signage management into a single, intuitive system. Content updates happen centrally, teams stay aligned across LCD and e-paper displays, and manual work is kept to a minimum. The result is a clearer building communication and a scalable setup that grows without adding complexity.

Sustainability and building operations in 2025

Throughout 2025, industry discussions around sustainable buildings increasingly focused on reducing operational energy use and improving efficiency through better digital systems. New regulations and guidance highlighted the importance of low-energy technologies, simplified building operations, and centralized management tools.

Digital signage is part of this shift. Organizations are moving away from displays that require continuous power and frequent maintenance. E-paper technology fits well in environments where information must remain visible throughout the day, such as offices, universities, healthcare facilities, and public buildings.

At the same time, building operators are prioritizing signage systems that are easy to manage, reduce reliance on printed materials, and support long-term sustainability goals.

Why energy-efficient digital signage matters

Energy-efficient digital signage supports modern building operations by:

E-paper displays shine when it comes to sharing schedules, room availability, wayfinding, and important notices. Their wireless design lets you install them anywhere without disrupting operations, and they remain readable in any lighting while continuing to show content during power interruptions.

Looking ahead to 2026!

Looking back at 2025, the projects we completed show how energy efficiency, sustainability, and effective communication are shaping modern buildings. Organizations are rethinking how they design and manage their spaces, and energy-efficient digital signage is playing an increasingly important role. Visionect is proud to help teams create signage systems that are easy to manage, scalable, and designed to support long-term sustainability goals.
